Why dental marketing is different

Hygiene and general dentistry keep the chairs full. Implants, aligners and cosmetic work grow the practice, and those patients usually want a consultation and a clear answer on cost before they say yes.

21%of US adults aged 19 to 64 have no dental benefitsADA Health Policy Institute
66.7%of US adults had a dental exam or cleaning in the past yearCDC, 2025
5.7%of US adults missing a tooth had a dental implant in 2015–16, up from 0.7% in 1999–2000Journal of Dental Research, 2018

Calls the front desk can’t answer

Many new patients still call. A call missed during a busy morning or after hours often goes to the next practice on Google Maps. We track calls by campaign and flag missed ones for a callback.

Big cases take time to accept

Implant and full-arch patients often take weeks to decide on a treatment plan. Follow-up, clear pricing pages and financing options help them say yes.

Insured, uninsured and elective patients

PPO patients, patients without dental insurance and cash-pay cases each need their own message. Membership plans and financing give uninsured patients a way in.

DSOs in your market

16% of US dentists were affiliated with a DSO in 2024, and more than one in four newer dentists (ADA Health Policy Institute). Independent practices compete with DSO budgets in search and Google Maps.

Compliance

The rules we follow.

Dental ads touch specialist titles, brand names, financing and patient photos, and each has its own rules. We check each campaign, page and post against current policy and your state board before it runs.

  • Specialist titles

Under the ADA Code of Ethics and many state board rules, only dentists trained in one of the 12 recognized specialties may advertise as specialists. Implant and cosmetic dentistry aren’t among them, so we describe a general dentist as providing implants or aligners.

  • Brand names

Invisalign is a trademark of Align Technology. We use the name for practices that offer it, follow Align’s guidelines on logos and account names, and say “clear aligners” for other systems.

  • Financing and payment offers

Under Truth in Lending rules, an ad that names a monthly payment or the number of payments must also state the down payment, repayment terms and APR. We write “financing available” or show the lender’s full terms.

  • Health targeting

Google and Meta restrict targeting people by health. Campaigns reach patients through what they search and where they live.

  • Before and after photos

Used with the patient’s written consent where the platform allows, showing results people can generally expect, and checked against current Meta and Google rules.

  • Honest claims and reviews

We avoid promised results and pain-free claims. Testimonials follow FTC guidance, and review requests go to all patients, with no filtering for happy ones.

  • Privacy-aware tracking

Tracking set up to follow HHS guidance on online tracking technologies, with a BAA when the work needs one.

Questions

What dental practices ask us.

Still have a question? Let’s talk

Usually, yes, if you offer it. We follow Align Technology’s guidelines on the name, logos and social media accounts, and say “clear aligners” for other systems or when you offer more than one.
